Hot Spring Hiking and Bathing
Soak in the middle of nature
Head on a hike through intriguing landscape, geothermal grounds and steaming mud pols, cascading waterfalls and magical views. In the middle of the highland, in the valley of Reykjadalur, the hot spring can be found, approx. 45 minutes hike from the roots off the trail. There you can have a soak in the natural hot water surrounded by mountains and natures wonders.
Biking
Ride in scenic landscape
Head out on a biking adventure up into the valley on single trails towards scenic mountain views or take a beautiful sightseeing biking tour around the flourishing town. Tours for all levels of difficulty.
Horse Riding
Tread the trails
Enjoy an excursion on a guided horseback-riding tour with the local horse rental on the unique Icelandic horse. Tread around Reykjadalur valley in beautiful geothermal landscape.
Golf
Golfclub Hveragerði
The golf course in Gufudalur is in a beautiful and diverse environment with obstacles that are not seen in many places on golf courses, with the two rivers running by, Sauðá and Varmá. The land of the stadium is in two municipalities, Ölfus and Hveragerði, and open to anyone. The club has a 9-hole golf course with the goal to be in the group of the best 9 holes in the country. A true gem in the middle of Reykjadalur valley, only 5 min drive from us.
Fishing
Hook up in Varmá
The River Varmá is small and relatively easy to fish with a lot of great fishing spots. With spices such as Sea Trout, Brow Trout and Char, with the chance of getting a Rainbow Trout. Wether you prefer the fast stream waterfalls or big slow pools there are multiple options to choose from.
